I have been supervising counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice since 2013 and have supervised within organisations since 1997. My approach to supervision is reflective discussion between therapist and myself focusing on all aspects of therapeutic work. Similar to my approach to therapy, supervision is insight and understanding oriented and rooted in psychodynamic relational theories including transference and counter-transference. My supervisory style is humanistic, relationship is co-created and supportive, incorporating the whole person of the therapist, client and myself in the reflective process.
Between 2015 and 2026 I was course director for the NAOS Diploma in Trauma Therapy, a one year course for therapists, counsellors and other practitioners working with traumatised people. See the NAOS website for further information https://www.naos-institute.com.
Currently I am an associate lecturer at Goldsmiths University on the MA in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy.
